Esteemed NY choreographers, multi-genre performers and exciting youth dance troupes will converge when Locust Contemporary Dance Works (LCDW) - Connecticut’s premiere youth contemporary jazz company - celebrates its 10th Season with “Principles of Life,” a multi-media concert at 7 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2015. Along with performances by LCDW’s Founder/Director - renowned choreographer/dancer/actor Jimmy Locust - the concert will include special guest performances by Locust’s Connecticut Contemporary Movement Company dancers; Isodoc Dance Group, founded by LCDW alumnus Jeff Docimo to explore the fusion of contemporary and urban dance; the highly-regarded Peridance Youth Ensemble, directed by Shelley Grantham; t move Dance Co., a new youth dance company from Chagrin Falls, OH led by Tuni Deignan; and LCDW II and Locust Preparatory Company, youth ensembles from the Stamford, CT Locust Performing Arts Center (LPAC). Other highlights will include a contemporary dance solo by one of Locust Performing Arts Center’s directors Liana Martinez; music from singer/songwriter/recording artist Drew Yowell and guitarist Jeffrey Vaccino; and “in the moment” sketches and film by visual artist Mindy Vaccino.
